Does it replace professional advice or therapy?+
No. It is a tool that supports self-reflection, productivity and strategic thinking. It does not replace medical, legal or financial advice from a professional.
I know the material but I freeze in the room.+
That is almost always a structure problem, not a knowledge problem, and more studying will not fix it. You need a fixed spine you can run while under pressure: restate the problem, state your assumptions and constraints out loud, name the approach, name the tradeoff, then the edge cases. The shape does two things - it buys you honest thinking time and it makes a partial answer look considered. We drill the spine on five questions in a row until it is automatic.
How do I handle silence while I think?+
Never think silently for more than a few seconds. An interviewer who hears your reasoning can pass a candidate who has not finished; an interviewer watching a blank face cannot. Narrate what you are considering and what you have ruled out - 'two approaches come to mind, the first is simpler but does not handle concurrent writes, so let me check the second.' That single habit converts a stall into visible engineering judgment.
Should I memorize common questions?+
No. Question banks train recognition, and real loops test production under a probe you have not seen. What repeats across rounds is not the question but the theme: depth on one project, tradeoff reasoning, debugging under uncertainty, and communication. Drill those four and you can answer a question you have never met. Memorized answers also collapse at the first follow-up, and the follow-up is where interviews are actually decided.
What if I genuinely do not know the answer?+
Say so once, briefly, and then do the work in the open: state what you do know, how you would find out, and what you would test first. That is a passing answer at most levels, because it demonstrates method. What fails is bluffing, going silent, or collapsing into apology. We rehearse this specifically - it is the single highest-value drill for candidates whose knowledge is fine and whose composure is not.
How close to the real thing is this?+
As close as you want it: real difficulty, real pace, full loops including the introduction and the questions you ask at the end. I stay in the interviewer role and do not explain before you have attempted, because a rehearsal where the coach rescues you mid-answer trains the wrong reflex. Scores are honest. If your answers are below the bar for your target level, I will say so with evidence and name what has to change - a polite drill that hides a gap produces a confident rejection.
